What happens in those quiet moments when you're near 50, living in the 'burbs with kids and husband in tow, teaching law to undergrads, and a hopeful liberal? You grab a coffee and read a few blogs. Write one.

Back from Mammoth...
I was supposed to post a "Goodbye, see you in a few days"-post, but never got around to it. So here I am...back. More on the weekend later. Unpacking. Unwinding. Sighing.
Welcome back. I meant to respond to your post about your worries about teaching, and was just too busy, so I'll just say something here. I'm a community college teacher, and I think community college students are much more open and hungry to learn than a lot of four-year students. (That's been my experience, anyway.) With your insight and sensitive awareness of others, I'm sure you'll do just fine. I've learned to be really clear in my syllabus, to be consistant about expectations, and to be open to listen if students come to you with questions. I know you'll be a great teacher. :-)

Glad you're back (though I know you're not...lol). Hope you had a nice time. :)

And here I thought you'd been laying around in pools of Bud Light all this time...
